Under The Annapurna Mahila Mandal Pune conducted By the Vidyapurna : Educational Sponsorship Program.

Annapurna Pariwar is an group of NGOs working since 1993 in Mumbai and Pune across 1,200 Slums. Its main aim is to empower poor women and their families for complete family development in terms of finance, education, health, old age security under Adharpurna scheme.

We have created a safety net around poor families in these 1,200 slums with services like Micro Finance, Micro Insurance, Child Development Program, Adharpurna old age security program and Working Women‘s Hostel.

In slum areas we see so many children denied of development opportunities. These children have lost this opportunity because of poverty, single mothers, uneducated families and other reasons. Brilliant children have lost their rightful opportunity for a good education and a bright future. We meet such children daily while on our way to office or on our way back home, playing at traffic signals or on footpaths.

Vidyapurna Educational Sponsorship Program was started in 2003 by Annapurna Pariwar. Annapurna Mahila Mandal is an organization from the Annapurna Pariwar group which hosts Vidyapurna Programme. Vidyapurna gives educational scholarships to deserving children of single mothers who are members of Annapurna Mahila Co-op Credit Society Ltd.
